Using permissions
Emivor Dashboard features a robust permissions system that allows you to set granular read-only and read-write permissions on Projects, Project Phases, Tasks, and Notes.
The above mentioned components use a standardized Custom Permissions control that has the following options:
- Enabled
- Read-only access
- Read-write access
When Enabled is checked, the permissions system will enforce access to that item based on the users selected for Read-only access and Read-write access.
Custom permissions set on child items take precedent over permissions set on higher level items. For example: if on the project level user Tim has read-only permissions, but on a task in that project he has read-write permissions, the task level permissions will take precedence.
If custom permissions are not specified on a Project, Project Phase, or Task/Note level, access will be inherited from the Organization role of the user.
Note: Organization administrators have full access to items within the organization, regardless of custom permissions set.
